I am looking for informaction about this beautiful motorcycle. Topic is written in Hungarian, but I used google translator to do that.
Is there anyone who can answer me in English? Or I should try and use google translator?

I have nice and complete Csepel, but I do not know all about that motorcycles. So I attach some photos here.
If I will have more questions is it better to make new topic or continuing this by adding new answer?

Ok, I am not sure which parts of Csepel should be chrom plated (króm). Is there any elements that should be nickel plated (nikkelezett) or galvanized (galvanizált)?
It is very important to me to repair it with the history details. If you have some sources / web sites / books about that I will be happy - or just write about that. I have parts list of Csepel 125/49. I have description too, but honestly I did not read it yet (it is originally in Hungarian language) - firstly I begin this topic because I am not sure that I will find information about this

First and second photo show ignition switch (gyújtáskapcsoló). First is from my Csepel and second is from instruction. I saw that in other Csepel's on the Internet,. I saw second type, which is on third photo. So.. Is mine original? Or maybe both are original, but they are from different years of production?

Fourth photo shows my whole motorbike. Fifth photo has arrow points on element which I did not find in parts list. Is it homemade or original from Csepel factory?

Sixth photo shows arrow to fender brackets (sárvédő konzolok). Did they be chrom plated or painted in black color? Maybe in some year painted and later chrom?

Where are numbers of motorcycle? I see some numbers on "keret" near lamp, but I read that it can be registration numbers, not motorcycle numbers.

How many of that model was made? On wikipedia.hu I cannot see that. Maybe you have some historic book?

This motorcycle had black paintings with gold lines, black-red painting with gold lines and green-black paintings with gold lines. Were that 3 types applies paralelly or in some year intervals?

I have x2 holes in front fender. Is that place for registration plate? There was written "Csepel 125/49" or registration numbers?

Passenger seats were like an option or Csepels originally had it from factory? Or that seats were from factory, but sold separately?

Last photos presents motorcycle seat. Is it from Csepel 250? Or Csepel 250U?

For now is all. I am gathering information before repairing. If I have more questions I will write answers to this topic or maybe you will suggest me something else.

There is a lot of questions. I have knowledge about this motorcycle, but there is need knowledge from someone who was living in this times or remember that motorcycles in the past.

You got a nice Csepel motorcycle! But needs to be restored. In Hungary this type of Csepel called ,,lemezvillás".

ignition switch: The early Csepels got this type of switch which you show on the first photo. The first motorcycles were exported abroad (for example Poland?). I think the swich is okay!
This Csepel was taken to poland in the 40's or nowadays?

4th photo: It is a homemade, but useful part.

6th photo: I don't see perfectly, but in my opinion some of them are also homemade parts. In generally its painted black. But more chom is used in the export modells. I don't know this answer.

numbers: You can find the frame number near the rear wheel axle on the right. I think the number you see near the lamp is the registration number.
The number of lemezvillás produced can be arounnd 10 000.

passenger seat: In the factory this Csepel hasn't got passenger seat. When the new motorcycle's engine has got 4,5 hp after a few thousand km, the passenger seat allowed to be mounted.

last photo: I think it's not Csepel 250, it's a Csepel 125 seat.

Szép Csepeled van, de felújításra szorul. Ezt a típust lemezvillásnak hívjuk Magyarországon.
Megpróbálok a kérdéseidre válaszolni, de előtte itt egy másik topik, amiban hasznos információkat találhatsz a Csepelről angol nyelven.
A korai darabok gyújtáskapcsolója az első fotódon látható fajta volt. Az első szériákat exportálták külföldre. A te géped a 40-es években, vagy mostanában került Lengyelországba?
A negyedik képen házi alkatrész látszik.
A hatodik képen nem látom jól, de némelyik pálca szintén házi alkatrész. Általában feketére voltak festve, de krómozott is elfordulhat export változatoknál, pontosan nem tudom a tiéd milyen lehetett.
A váz számot a hátsó kerék tengely környékén találod jobb oldalon. A lámpa mellett ami számot találtál az a rendszám lehet.
A legyártott darabszám olyan 10 ezer körüli lehet.
Gyárilag nem szerelték pótüléssel ezeket a gépeket, csak a bejáratás után kerültek fel rá.
Az utolsó képen nem 250-es Csepel ülése van, hanem szerintem 125-ösé.
Az angolom nem tökéletes, néha segítségre szorulok, de remélem hogy az alapvető információkat megkaptad.

It means that about 6000 of Csepel 125/49 were produced? Or more maybe?

The useful part on the 5th photo is double useful. First, if the pilot are oversized, the seat don't beat the mudguard when the Csepel move on pothole road. Second, the spare seat fixation stronger.

The factory where Csepel motorcycles were manufactured named Weiss Manfred in 1949. The seats have got WM logo. In 1949-1950 the government socialized the factory, and its name changed to Rákosi Mátyás Vas és Fémművek. The logo after this: RM. 125 cc and 250 cc bikes have RM logo seats. The Csepel 250 seats are bigger than Csepel 125 seats. According your photo, that seat is a Csepel 125. The most accurate solution is measurement.

lemezvillás: You already know everything

motorcycle numbers: The Csepel 125/49 were made for 3 years. 1948-1949-1950. In 1950 january the frame number lasted at 6000. I will give you a photo of the Csepel 125 production numbers. I think by the end of 1950 the 125/49production volume was nearly 10 000.

A kiegészítő alakatrész duplánn is hasznos. Elöször is nem engedi a nyeregnek megütni a sárvédőt súlyos vezető esetén, másodsorban pedig merevíti a pótülést.
A gyár ahol a Csepelek készültek Weiss Manfréd nevét viselte, Az ülésekben WM jellel. Az államosíás után RM lett a jelölés 125 és 250 modellek esetében is. A kettő ülés között méretbeli eltérések vannak, ezért láthatta Csepel 250 használati utasításban a barátunk az RM jelzésű ülést.
A lemezvilla fogalmáról már mindent tudsz
A Csepel 125/49-est 3 évig gyártották. 1950 januárjában 6000-ig jutott a vázszámozás. Küldök képet a gyártási darabszámokról. Úgy vélem, hogy 1950 végére a legyártott darabszám megközelítette a 10 ezret. 1950-ben 100/48, 125/49, 125/50 és 250/50 U típusok készültek Csepelen.

My "keret" numer is 125/6152. You are sure now that 125/49 was upper than 125/6000.

But it colides with that:

The screws mostly are tanned (in hot oil). On the front fork chromed. On the steering wheel? (kormány) zinced. The tool box screws are chromed. Wheel spokes are zinced.

In the 50's for example the name of Csepel given by the owners was written to this plates, or something else about the motorcycle (nem adlak másnak).
Nowadays the production year and the type of Csepel is written on it.

I think this is an originally part, and I don't see screws on the top of the lamp. Not a nice solution, maybe homemade. In your Csepel lamp must have the newer version of switch.

Yes, I don't remember perfictly. I searched one photo about the ignition switch, this is a 100/48 front lamp. The switch on this lamp fits the early lemezvillás switches. The fixation is solved with two rivets.

According to mátéapu, one older type installation of the same part is good for the veteran vehicle.
